5.  The role of modern universities should combine education, academic research and service society, which means the modern university should take the responsibility as educator, researcher and service provider.

6.  Last but not least, modern universities provide service to the whole society, which means no matter people from what level they can still benefits from the universities.

7.  As discussed above in this essay, modern universities' functions and responsibilities are extending, and the leading three roles is Education, Academic research, Service society.
